This is the fifth piece in my Offering Project series. It was inspired by the colors in the sky at dusk and the texture that can be created with encaustic paint. When I work in encaustics I usually strive to make the surface of the painting very smooth. With this one however, I was enjoying the texture that was happening and took care to preserve it as I worked. I am excited to see where embracing this texture will lead me in future paintings!
